Bio

Cassandra Rosebeetle has been performing her entire life, starting with a 15 year career as a competitive ice skater.  She has been performing as a principal member of Desert Sin Dance Company since 2001, and has toured with them throughout the US and Europe.  She has an extensive background performing as a belly dancer for theater shows, restaurants, hookah lounges, private events and corporate parties.  Since 2009 she has been a member of Brooklyn-based Lady Circus, bringing her skills as a glass-walker.  She also performs the sideshow act of glass-walking for events all over NYC, combining this circus piece with burlesque and dance.  She was an original cast member of Queen of the Night at the Diamond Horseshoe Theater at the Paramount Hotel, NYC, as an interactive performance artist.  For the winter season 2014 she performed as the ice skater Celestina in Baz Luhrmann and Catherine Martin’s window display at Barney’s, NY.  Her ice skating burlesque act premiered at The Burlesque Show at Borgata, Atlantic City for the 2014 Holiday Show.  Her burlesque acts can been seen most nights of the week in NYC and Brooklyn venues, combining her dance training with her theatricality and love of entertaining.

Her style specialities include 1920s flapper, Moulin Rouge, Weimar Berlin cabaret, 1960s exotica, and classic showgirl burlesque.  Her latest addition is ice skating burlesque, which is performed on a piece of portable plastic designed for indoor skating.  She is also available to appear at your event as an interactive performer, wearing one of her exquisite costumes.

As a sideshow artist she performs the act of glass-walking, which literally is walking, rolling, and dancing across a bed of freshly broken glass. This piece can be performed as a burlesque act or clothed for family-friendly events, both are certain to wow audiences.

Cassandra works with Flambeaux Fire, dancing with their elaborate fire headpieces and torches, combining choreography and costuming with the spectacle of fire.

She also performs with Eli Rose, the Debonaire Mystic, combining sword-swallowing and burlesque to bring you sideshow duets like you’ve never seen before.

Cassandra Rosebeetle has been a muse to artists for most of her life, inspiring thousands of works of fine art. In LA, NY, and Europe she has posed for painters, sculptors, mixed-media artists, and photographers. Her experience, dance background, and unique look have made her a favorite in schools, workshops, and for private bookings.

Cassandra is also available for fine art and commercial photography. She has worked with a wide-range of photographers including Lucien Clergue, Tony Notarberardino, and Annie Leibovitz.
